Our Shared Hopes is piloting a program aimed to give underprivileged women and teens hope for a sustainable future. Our goal is to introduce them to the construction trades' pre-apprenticeship programs, provide help with the application process, and help obtain some hands-on experience by volunteering for Habitat for Humanity!
Many teens living in poverty do not have the option of going to college and earning a degree. The same holds true for their mothers. The future seems to hold very limited success, and it can be hard to see past present situations.
We would like to help by opening the door to a new option, where financial security is no longer a far-fetched dream, but instead a very real and possible near future.
We will introduce the different trades available, and the wage that each offers. We'll then go over the requirements of each trade, and assess any individual boundaries that may prevent them from moving forward.
If you are, or know of, a woman or teen who is at least 16 years old and might benefit from this program, please use the form below to request more information, or call (253) 697-0004.
